Bruns began working with the pastor of Corinthian Baptist Church on a very preliminary basis. Pastor Henderson had a dream of somehow helping the youth of his community and church. He believed that with a new Christian Life Center he could reach out to his community and make it a better place to live.
Bruns began the process of designing a new 13,200 sq. ft. addition. We worked with the church leadership to develop a plan to present to the church members, and assisted the church in securing the necessary funds for the completeion of the project.
The new Christian Life/ Multipurpose building includes a full-size gymnasium, classrooms, offices, a full-size commercial kitchen and a new restroom. The building was constructed using Aerated Autoclaved Concrete (AAC) with a coat of thin-wall and was painted to match the existing building.
The result--a place where both the community and church can come together. The facility is used nearly every day for various outreach programs including a basketball ministry and computer training classes for low-income families.
